Communication is a human right.

Why, hello there.

I am Suzanne Harrawood, a fully bilingual, ASHA-certified and Florida-licensed speech-language pathologist.

For more than a decade, I have provided speech-language therapy in public schools, private practice, and virtual settings. I work with children, teens, and young adults with a wide range of communication needs. I provide services in both English and Spanish.

My path to speech-language pathology began with a love of language itself. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Language and Literature, a master’s degree in English Language and Literature, and a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.

Outside of speech therapy, I am a runner, fitness enthusiast, and writer. I love to crochet.

How I can help.

Individualized speech-language therapy for children, teens, and young adults, offered in person in South Florida and virtually throughout Florida, in English and Spanish.

Receptive and expressive language, vocabulary, comprehension, literacy, attention and memory, and academic communication.

Articulation, speech sound disorders, intelligibility, and stuttering/fluency.

Autism, intellectual disabilities, Down syndrome, other developmental disabilities, AAC, and functional communication.

Speech-language therapy in English and Spanish, with attention to the difference between a language disorder and typical bilingual language development.

Therapy that meets you where you are.

Communication therapy is not one-size-fits-all. I tailor therapy to each client’s strengths, needs, interests, and everyday life—with a focus on communication skills that are meaningful, practical, and useful beyond the therapy session.

Therapy built around the individual—not simply a diagnosis, test score, or standardized program.

We focus on communication skills that matter in everyday life: at home, at school, and in the community.

Families and caregivers are an important part of the process. I value your knowledge and work with you toward meaningful goals.

In-person therapy in South Florida and virtual therapy throughout Florida offer flexible options for individuals and families.

Let’s talk.
